Just to show everyone some perspective - here's the carpet that was above the wood floors on the main level. Under that stripe carpet was even more green carpet. Reminded me of a putting green. We were told by Verhey carpet that decades ago when people laid new carpet they didn't take out the carpet already down, they just used it as padding and put new carpet on top. I guess you can call it recycling??
All the carpet, as you know, is now removed. All that remains are pretty wood floors that we will refinish to their original glory. I love that we can keep them intact.
'60's olive green, 70's stripes. what happened to the '80s Mauve?
