The BIG REVEAL - living room

& now onto the living room. Another huge project! I think I'm most excited about our fireplace being repaired! If you don't remember the fireplace, well, here's a quick story. When we bought the house we noticed a little water damage above the fireplace ceiling. Upon removing a small portion of the wall we discovered it was actually worse than we thought & we had to make the decision to gut the room.

In hindsight, it was the best decision we ever made.

& now onto what everyone wants, the before & afters!

The BIG REVEAL - dining room

Last night was a HUGE night for the farmhouse. We finished painting all the rooms downstairs, which is our entire living area, and pulled up the protective floor cover. This revealed our house as DONE. & it blew my freaking mind. I'll be honest, I cried a little seeing the finished product. After seven months of working nearly constantly to make this house ours, here we are. It's an amazing feeling.

Just for comparison, & to really blow your mind, we should start from the beginning. Let's take a look at some before and after shots shall we? 

I know you're thinking - what? Is this the same place? I know. Imagine how we feel. I literally cannot believe it has come this far. & now for progress pics....

I could die! I really could. The floors look amazing. I'm scared to actually walk on them!!
